#GED2021

The sixth edition of Global Exhibitions Day will take place this year on Wednesday 2 June.

The determination and confidence with which the international exhibition industry is preparing to restart represent the elements of a truly global commitment that, better than any other intention, celebrate the Global Exhibitions Day.

In a moment of great inspiration dedicated to the sector all over the world, even the characteristics of a single country can enjoy greater visibility.

Since June 2 coincides with Italian Republic Day, in Italy the event will be celebrated on the following day, Thursday June 3.

With the impossibility of carrying out physical events once again this year, two activities are planned:

“ITALIAN EXHIBITIONS REOPEN webinar: SUPPORTS, TOOLS AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE RESTART”, on 3 June

The aim is to first illustrate the SUPPORTS and TOOLS put in place in this period to sustain the sector and to facilitate its restart: from the safety protocols, to the privacy guidelines, from funding to exhibitions and exhibitors, supports for the incoming of foreign operators.

The activity carried out by AEFI, Legal and Technical Commissions, as well as the requests that are still open are suitably highlighted.

With the participation of the Exhibitions in Network and Internationalisation Committees, the analysis of the ACTIVITIES at the associative level and implemented by the Italian exhibitions in terms of promotion and news that will be a feature of the next events follows.

The Authorities and Institutions that have collected the requests of the sector more directly and translated them into measures and actions confirm the role recognised at the Italian exhibitions as a driving force for the restart for sectors and territories.

Finally, a series of attestations illustrate interventions and projects that are already under way: from the scheduling of the new calendar, to joint promotion, to social events.

VOICES OF THE EXHIBITION INDUSTRY

AEFI enthusiastically collects and shares the “Voices of the exhibition industry” campaign proposed by UFI through social media, gathering the voices of the protagonists of the Italian exhibition system who, “by putting themselves out there”, declare their beliefs, wishes and projects on the restart of the exhibitions and their value.
