Thanks to texts, litographies and pictures we will relive the evolution of the town and the bond with its Fair. A city oriented to the future, that was fortified in 898 and now its totally open and worldwide connected. For the occasion, Fiera Bergamo will propose a guided tour in spaces normally not accessible to public.

History: “Villa Erba: About Excellence” – The video presented for the first time at this year’s BIT is intended to represent the many possibilities of using the Congress Center Fair as well as the various set-up opportunities available in the location. Inspiration for the contents of the video came by the celebratory event of the 30th anniversary of the foundation of Villa Erba S.p.A. The video also shows some footage from one of the most representative events of the 2016 season.

History: “Agricultural Fair Story” On occasion of Global Exhibitions Day Fiera di Foggia has collected the testimonies and posters of the Agriculture Fair, this year at its 85th edition. From the documents of the Capitanata di Foggia of April 1813 (Capitanata is an historical-cultural region of Puglia constituting an administrative unit first of the Kingdom of Sicily, then of the Kingdom of Naples and therefore of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies) up to nowadays the history of the fair summarizes the history and emblems of Italian agricultural world.

Territory: “In the city, on the sea.” – Since 1962 Fiera di Genova organizes and hosts fairs and events of national and international character. Built in the heart of the city, at the entrance to the historic port of Genoa, the venue has developed its most important events, including the International Boat Show and Euroflora, in close connection with the excellence and specificities of the Ligurian territory.

PIACENZA EXPO “SCENDE” IN PIAZZA CAVALLI E INCONTRA LA CITTA’
Piazza Cavalli will host an Info Point with brochures and info about forthcoming activities and exhibitions. For the occasion ANTONELLA MORI painter from Fiorenzuola d’Arda created a painting as a symbol of the link between the city and its Fair Venue, to mark the relationship of mutual collaboration with the common goal of enhancing and promoting Piacenza. The painting becomes a celebratory postcard distributed to the public during GED17 and during the year at all exhibitions.

Products: “Wine2Digital” – wine2digital, Vinitaly International’s new space, strives to become a community to facilitate the communication and promotion of Italian wine with a digital twist. w2d wants to act as a bridge between wine trade professionals and potential markets through digital tools to help sell and engage small-to-medium wine producers. Territory: “Open doors at the Jewellery Museum” – For the occasion of the Global Exhibitions Day, scheduled for Wednesday June 7th, the museum space in the Palladian Basilica managed by Italian Exhibition Group SpA (IEG), in partnership with the City of Vicenza, will open at 11:00, instead of 15:00 as of midweek time, until 19:00, with free entrance for all visitors (instead of € 6,00 full ticket or € 4,00 reduced ticket).
