Firenze Fiera – The Leading System in Florence to Organise Great Corporate Events
Florence is ready to host any kind of “turn-key”event thanks to the synergy between Firenze Fiera, the Florence Municipality, the Florence Convention Bureau and Tecnoconference. This is what emerged from the 8thedition of the World Communication Forum, organsised by Comunicazione Italiana and held at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome from the 3rd to the 5th June, where professionals coming from various sectors discussed future scenarios and innovation on the events market.

Men’s Catwalk Fashion. PITTI UOMO 88 – June 16-19, 2015

Pitti Uomo 88 – the reference international event for men’s fashion and contemporary lifestyle – will take place from the 16th to the 19th June 2015.
Pitti Uomo has been continually evolving, ready to catch all the new atmospheres of fashion and to express them with new and sometimes unexpected projects. For instance, the new Open section, going beyond the gender distinction to indicate new styles, or offering Unconventional, a section born to give a voice to the fiercest luxury underground streams. And then, there are future menswear’s styles, explored by Futuro Maschile and by the leading sections in fashion research such as Touch! and l’Altro Uomo, special projects launched by international designers, and also events supporting new talents.
Once again, Pitti Uomo proves to be a global platform for important companies and international fashion groups, but also for brands which are not well known yet, as well as for institutional players of the fashion system, presenting new projects at the Fair for the whole world to see.
With a record number of international requests of participation – 40% of the companies in this edition come from over 30 countries – Pitti Uomo 88 will welcome visitors in a unique way, in a business-oriented atmosphere but always ready to entertain.

Children’s Lifestyle at PITTI BIMBO 81 – June 25-27, 2015   
437 collections, 207 of which coming from abroad and over 5,700 buyers. Around 10,000 visitors expected to attend the event. These are the input data of Pitti Bimbo 81, the only Fair representing the whole universe of children’s fashion in a global level, but also an extraordinary platform of lifestyle trends. For this edition, Pitti Bimbo aims at highlighting the research world – from the cutting-edge collections of Apartment to a mix of creativity and experimentation of brands belonging to a new project called KidzFIZZ; from the classical-elegant fashion of the greatest brands of Pitti Bimbo to the eco-fair labels of EcoEthic; from the sportswear of Sport Generation to the urban rhythms of SuperStreet, up to the accessories and design linked with children’s world. All of this is dynamically structured in an everlasting evolution, welcoming visitors in a business-oriented but also entertaining environment. An ever-changing and special journey through thousands of emotions relating to fashion, arts and design.

PITTI FILATI 77, the Global Workshop of Trends for the Yarns and Knitting Industry – July 1-3, 2015
It is the reference international event for the yarns and knitting industry sector, a workshop of international research presenting a world preview of the Fall-Winter 2016/17 collections of yarns for knitting industry.
The new Research Space, called MAKE IT, is a journey through history looking at objects which survived time. Not only prestigious design objects, but also ordinary, popular belongings of everyday life, where crafts combine with the need to make do.
KNITCLUB, the area focusing on quality knitwear factories, gets bigger – a project encouraging ideas and an advanced integration of the whole production chain. Perfectly integrated within Pitti Filati, the new edition of Feel the Yarn is ready to start. A competition devoted to wannabe fashion designers coming from the best selected international fashion schools aims at widening the creativity expressed by yarns produced by the most qualified Tuscan knitting factories. Halfway through an educational project and a competition, during Feel The Yarn students coming from the most important international fashion schools will be competing on a theme inspired by the Research Space, proposing items designed and knitted using yarns provided by Tuscan companies.

The Beachwear World: Mare d’Amare no.8 – July 18-20, 2015
The world of beachwear will meet in Florence from the 18th to the 20th July for the eighth edition of Mare D’Amare. On show, beachwear collections from around 250 brands (80 of which will participate for the first time) coming from all over the world to represent the largest offer in this sector. A unique and unrepeatable opportunity, allowing the sector professionals to have a wider overview on the 2016 summer trends: from the great names up to young emerging talents. These events will also be available online, thanks to the innovative Mare D’Amare Digital Platform, the first Italian facility of this kind in this sector. The platform will be extended and better structured in order to allow brands to communicate through a qualified showcase just a mouse click away.
Among the new features to be discussed, the first edition of Fashion Trailer, a special competition dedicated to videoclips in order to encourage the presentation of fashion collections. Amateurs and professionals will be requested to make a short film based on the beachwear theme, and the only essential requirement will be to use items coming from the exhibiting companies.
