Stockholm International Fairs approaches record turnover
This year`s first six months have been the best ever in the history of Stockholm International Fairs and indications are that there will be a record annual turnover for the largest exhibition and congress organiser in the Baltic Sea Region. 2006 is a successful year for Stockholm International Fairs. Revenue increased the first six months to 371 million compared with 286 million in the same period in 2005. This is an increase of approximately 30%. The number of visitors to Stockholm International Fairs increased with 39% in the same period to 619,700 people (compared with 445,400 in 2005). “Business in this year`s first six months has been brilliant,” says Tom Beyer, Managing Director of Stockholm International Fairs. “We are heading towards our best annual result ever, which is partly due to a generally good economic situation, and partly due to the fact that we have a strong exhibition year with many of our large exhibitions taking place.” “It is pleasing to establish that people increasingly see the exhibition as a natural media channel, and that they realise the importance of the personal meeting,” added Tom Beyer. Stockholm International Fairs has during spring also opened the Rica Talk Hotel together with the new conference centre Talk. Theodore Koumelis – Wednesday, September 27, 2006
