Messe Frankfurt accomplishes the 1st International Techtextil-Symposium South America (November 07th and 08th at Centro Fecomércio de Eventos, located in State of São Paulo.)
The leading event for textile technology and information exchange in Latin America brings together producers, converters, transformers and users Techtextil South America will present a symposium that offers producers, converters, transformers and users in the emerging markets of Latin America a current update of latest new technologies and market tendencies as well as the opportunity for information exchange. Organized by Messe Frankfurt Feiras, one of the world’s leading trade fairs organizers, the 1st Techtextil-Symposium South America 2006 takes place on November 07th and 08th at Centro Fecomércio de Eventos, located in State of São Paulo. The Techtextil brand with trade fairs being organized in five key regions is considered the most important trade show for this sector in the world, and thus, aims at bringing to the Latin American markets the main technical and informative event. The participants will also be able to attend the accompanying exhibition for technical textiles and nonwovens, where companies will have the opportunity to establish a relationship with professional visitors. “Participants will be updated on the innovations of the sector, they will exchange experiences and will be able to get in touch with new technologies that, today, are responsible for the success of this market in other countries. The symposium will also discuss the tendencies, always with focus on the product groups and in the twelve areas of applications of Techtextil (described below)”, affirms Ligia Amorim, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt in Brazil. National and international speakers will be part of the programming. The themes will be linked to the market and the technology used in the sector, as well as with the new applications and innovative uses of nonwovens and technical textiles. The Latin American market as a continent of opportunities and Brazil’s future in the automotive sector, geosynthetics, agricultural, shoes, disposable andconsumption products is promising. The internationalization of the nonwovens market and the local impact, besides the growing Asian presence and the main challenges that this may bring, will also be on the agenda. To further illustrate the technology applied to the technical textiles and nonwovens, an overview will be presented on nanotechnology and its reality in South America will be discussed. The congress visitors will also be informed of new production methods, which are changing the panorama in this area of high performance fibers development, recycling and environment. Messe Frankfurt counts on Noûs Consulting partnership to formulate the scope of the symposium. According to Leandro Fraga, partner of the consultancy, Latin America is a continent of countries in ascension, as the economy grows and as the modernization of industrial processes continues to develop, the product evolution and the consumer market intensifies the use of technical textiles and nonwovens. “As the technological development increases the need for performance, the use of components and high performance technical materials grows naturally”, says Fraga.
