Exhibition organiser re-brands as Diversified Exhibitions Australia
Australian Exhibition Services has announced that the company will now be known as Diversified Exhibitions Australia, thus aligning with its US parent company, Diversified Business Communications. The re-branding is a further step towards consolidating Diversified Exhibitions Australia’s position as one of Australia’s leading exhibition organisers, and part of a global network spanning four continents. Since the formation of Australian Exhibition Services (AES) in 1982, the company has organised more than 400 successful exhibitions and gained a reputation for delivering expertly managed, large-scale trade and consumer exhibitions of the highest calibre in key market sectors. This successful track-record and extensive portfolio resulted in its acquisition by Diversified Business Communications in 2000. The announcement reflects and reinforces the professionalism of both companies, now branding under the same banner. “By embracing the Diversified name, we are being acknowledged as part of this highly respected global organisation, as well as taking the next step in our evolution which will assist in further company expansion,” Graeme Selby, Chairman of Diversified Exhibitions Australia and founder of AES says. “As Diversified Exhibitions Australia, our name will more accurately reflect the broad range of industry sectors in our portfolio, which spans food through to robotics. “The diversity in our exhibition program has been a critical factor in our success. Recognising this in our name is not only a reminder of our origins, but it also paves the way for expansion into different types of events and associated activities,” Selby says. Since being acquired by Diversified Business Communications, the company has experienced unprecedented revenue and profitability increases, achieved through organic growth, new show launches and acquisitions. Each year, the company stages up to 20 industry-specific exhibitions in a diverse range of industries. Diversified Exhibitions Australia wholly owns all of its major show brands which include highly regarded events such as Australia’s largest international annual trade show, Fine Food; Good Food & Wine Show; The Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo; and Designbuild. More recent additions include Australian Fitness Expo, Retail Business Technology and Shopfit. The recent appointment of Matthew Pearce as Managing Director of Diversified Exhibitions Australia marks the beginning of this new era for the company. Pearce will be instrumental in developing new marketing channels for the company, whilst ensuring the current success drivers remain in place. “Exhibitions are big business. Many large corporations expend substantial marketing dollars on their exhibition participation and in return they demand high quality events that deliver a return on investment,” Pearce says. “Our market-leading exhibitions have a proven track-record of delivering quality visitors, sales leads and return on investment. “We will continue to retain our successful brand marketing focus whereby each of our exhibitions has unique branding, a dynamic marketing strategy and a team culture focussed on results for both exhibitors and visitors.” 9-Oct-2006
