The Permanent Secretary of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iceland, Mr Gretar Mar Sigurdsson, said that India represented 0.4 per cent of the EFTA member states’ total imports in 2005 and accounted for 0.6 per cent of their exports. “This could grow if there is a FTA between India and the EFTA,” he said. While speaking at a meeting organised by the Embassy of Iceland, in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry, Mr Sigurdsson said that a feasibility study for the purpose was being prepared by India.
