Messe Munchen plans textile machinery fair in 2007

CHENNAI: Messe Munchen International of Germany, an international trade fair organiser is planning to setup a subsidiary in India by June 2007, Mr Manfred Wutzlhofer, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Messe Munchen International said in a press conference here on October 28. The chairman further clarified that company plans to tie up with experienced Indian trade fair organisers to partly own our Indian subsidiary and will be set up in Mumbai to host trade fairs in India. Currently, Messe Munchen is working with national and regional trade associations to jointly host trade fairs in India as part of its plan will host over 12 fairs in the country from the present five. Among the fairs planned textile machinery and electronics products fairs in New Delhi early next year is one of them and hopes to introduce new themes for trade fairs in India. Further, 17-member German delegation, including members of the supervisory board of Messe Munchen International, visited Chennai to survey trade fair grounds including the Chennai Trade Centre and will visit Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi before returning to Germany.
