NEW DIRECTOR FOR THE AEO

Phil Woods is to join the team at the EIA as Director for the AEO (Association of Exhibition Organisers). Phil comes to the AEO from outside the events industry, having previously been Sales and Marketing Director at Sterex Electrolysis International Ltd, an electrolysis equipment manufacturer. Prior to this he worked for BABTAC Ltd, the trade association for beauty therapists, where he was responsible for boosting the image and profile of the association and increasing membership numbers. ” I am delighted to be welcoming Phil to this important role in the business and for the industry.” said EIA Group Chief Executive, Trevor Foley “He brings a wealth of experience to the association and will also offer a new perspective on the industry.” Phil starts his new role on June 5th. Also new to the team is Marie Peck who joins as Business Development Manager taking over from Mervyn Ramsay, who has joined AEC member Aztec Exhibition Services. Marie was previously the Account Manager for Conference & Events at ExCel-London. And following the departure of Tim Banfield to be the Director of the new Liverpool Arena, former AEO Board member, Simon Brown is to look after the position of Director of the AEV (Association of Event Venues) on a consultancy basis whilst a new permanent Director is sought.
