First Luxury Travel Fair in Russia

Russia ‘s first international trade fair that is exclusively dedicated to the luxury travel sector will take place from 19 – 22 September 2006 in Moscow. Exhibitors have the unique chance to enter a booming market: With 88,000 millionaires in Russia, luxurious travels are on top of the list of holiday priorities. Luxury Leisure will be held in combination with “Otdykh-Leisure”, Russia’s largest international autumn tourism show and “MIBEX/MICE Moscow”, the first meeting industry & business travel exhibition in Moscow. The three trade fairs take place in Russia’s biggest and newest exhibition venue “Crocus Expo”. SPA conference as highlight among many topics Luxury Leisure Moscow will cover a variety of topics. Among them are: Luxury Accommodation & Luxury Destinations, Luxury Spa & Wellness Resorts, Golf, Air-Jet Services and Yachts & Luxury Transport. One of the highlights of Luxury Leisure is a specialised international conference on SPA & Health. In 2005, “SPA & HEALTH Moscow” took place for the first time as a one day International Workshop & Conference. The workshop was sales orientated whereas the conference gave an excellent insight into all aspects of health tourism. 450 visitors were welcomed, representatives of luxurious international and Russian spas and the most important Russian tour operators & tourism boards from 10 countries were among the participants. “Because of the great success, the SPA & HEALTH Forum will again take place at Luxury Leisure Moscow. It will consist of a highly specialised, international conference and presentations. In addition, a major part of our exhibition will be dedicated to the topics Spa, Health and Wellness”, explains Kristof Szymoniuk, Executive Director of the Vienna-based organiser MSI Fairs & Exhibitions. Trade fair meets high demand An exhibition for luxurious travels in Russia has been highly demanded: National and international key players have already confirmed their participation in Luxury Leisure, many others have requested details and show high interest in taking part in the show. Exhibitors will meet highly selected luxury travel trade buyers from all over Russia and the CIS. New exhibition venue and professional organisation Luxury Leisure will take place on 4,500 sqm in the exhibition venue “Crocus Expo”. The centre was built in 2004 according to international standards and thus allows efficient networking in a highly professional environment. Together with Leisure and MIBEX/MICE, exhibition space is 30,000 sqm. The organiser of Luxury Leisure Moscow can draw upon 12 years of experience in organising trade fairs in Russia and the Ukraine. Among the many industry events are four exhibitions covering tourism. They are: Otdykh-Leisure Moscow, MIBEX Russia, ITM – Intourmarket, a tourism trade fair with a special focus on Russian regions, and Luxury-Leisure. MSI is based in Vienna, Austria and has offices in Moscow, Kiev and St. Petersburg. Over 100 events, attracting 20,000 exhibitors and more than 1 million visitors, have been organised by MSI Fairs & Exhibitions. Theodore Koumelis – Wednesday, February 22, 2006
