easyFairs® announces aggressive expansion

Brussels-based trade fair organiser to recruit 100 new sales staff over 24 months easyFairs, the European organiser of regional trade shows has announced that it is to recruit 100 new staff over the coming two years following the successful launch of shows in the UK, Germany, Italy and France in 2005. “We have proved the easyFairs® concept in Europe’s toughest markets,” said Jean-François Quentin, Chief Operating Officer, easyFairs Group. “Now we are gearing up for the next round of expansion. We are actively seeking opportunities in new countries and expect to make some exciting announcements over the coming months about expansion in Europe – and possibly beyond! We need to double our sales forces at our national headquarters as we grow the business.” In 2005 easyFairs trebled its staff from 30 to nearly 100 and its number of trade shows from 10 to 40. “Most of the expansion has been in the packaging sector, with more than 20 shows now running annually in eight countries. We have also extended industrial processes shows such as easyFairs® SOLIDS and FLUIDS from Belgium to the UK and The Netherlands, and opened shows in the electrical, retail supplies and information technology sectors in Scandinavia,” said Quentin. “easyFairs can roll out new shows quickly and easily and we are gearing up for a period of rapid expansion.” The company is moving into new countries, having recently announced its first show in Switzerland – easyFairs® VERPACKUNG Schweiz at Luzern, 28-29 November 2006. easyFairs’ priority is to find salespeople for its offices in Antwerp, Gothenburg, London, Milan, Munich and Paris. “They do not have to come from a traditional trade fairs and exhibitions background,” said Julian Kulkarni, easyFairs’ Marketing Director. “The industry has become stuffy and complacent in many countries – it’s ripe for change. We’re more interested in recruiting bright young professionals who want to have fun and shake things up a bit.” easyFairs is Europe’s leading organiser of time & cost-effective trade shows. We make it easy for goals-oriented exhibitors and visitors to do business in a focused and professional environment. With headquarters in Brussels, easyFairs operates offices in France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Denmark and the United Kingdom. easyFairs® brings the show to the heart of the market.
