CarraraMarmotec makes its debut in Europe

Mission to Romania, Hungary and Czech Republic, and participation in Techno+Stone Kiev, with Toscana Promozione for a joint exhibition of Tuscan companies. The great promotional campaign continues in the main trade fairs. After Bangalore (India) and Vitoria (Brazil), missions will be held in Italy and abroad Great promotional efforts to introduce CarraraMarmotec (31 May – 3 June) to the operators of the world. Over these days, the activity is mostly carried out in Europe with two events that will take place at the same time: in Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Czech Republic. Techno+Stone, the second International Fair of Natural Stone and Technology (21 – 24 February), which in 2005 was attended by 354 exhibitors, a substantial number, which shows the important development of the local building industry. A great opportunity for promotion, which Toscana Promozione and CarraraFiere did not miss, to introduce along with CarraraMarmotec the very best of the Tuscan stone and technology companies. The Tuscan booth comes to the Ukrainian exhibition with the most representative joint display of Toscana Promozione, CarraraFiere and 17 companies from the Tuscan district, such as Marmi Carrara, Adolfo Forti, International Italmarmi, GBC Marmi, Marmi Bacci, Soltek, Barsanti Macchine, Atlantida Italia, Toscana Filtri, Essegra, Consorzio Promex, GDA Marble & Granite, Diamant Pauber, Dolmar, Gaspari Menotti, SAVEMA, Stonimport, plus some Italian leading companies, such as SIMEC, Vezzani, Pedrini, Marmi Graniti Favorita, Breton, Comandulli Costruzioni meccaniche, Marmolux, Cofiplast. The promotional events that took place in Kiev included a presentation of CarraraMarmotec, the 27th International fair of Marble, Machinery and Services. Over the last few days, the director of CarraraFiere, Mr Paris Mazzanti, has been busy touring Romania, Hungary and Czech Republic for promotional purposes, to meet stone trade associations and leading building contractors and arrange their participation in CarraraMarmotec. “We are very busy carrying out our promotional activity based on a targeted participation in the most important exhibitions – stated Mr Mazzanti – with a schedule that has been specifically drawn up to take part in the events in the areas and in the countries which our visitors come from. These include Eastern Europe, which deserves special attention, because the building industry and the use of processed stone are expected to grow remarkably in this region. Through such strategic choices, we had a substantial increase in the number of operators coming to CarraraMarmotec in 2005 from the countries where we had carried out our promotional campaign.” The participation in Kiev and in the Eastern countries is part of a plan that began last September and that in February included the participation in specialist industry exhibitions, such as Stona 2006, held from 1st to 5th February in Bangalore (India), which was carried out under a cooperation agreement with All India Granites & Stone Association (AIGSA), which is the organiser of the exhibition and which will be officially represented at CarraraMarmotec 2006. In Bangalore, the Italian companies went in great numbers, both with individual booths and in the joint booth organised by the Italian Trade Commission in the Italian Pavilion, because, with such a great market growth, many Italian companies have opened branches in India. Still in February, a promotional campaign was also carried out at the fair of Vitoria, Brazil (14 – 17 February), and this year the Brazilian operators will take part once again in CarraraMarmotec with a booth coordinated by the trade association ABIROCHAS. The next events will include promotional boots in London (14 – 16 March) for The Natural Stone Show, Bologna for SAIE, the great fair of the building industry (14-18 March), then in Marble Izmir, Turkey (29 March – 1 April), and from March 30th to April 2nd in Liege for Technipierre.
