Agreement for the Internationalisation of the Italian Trade Fair Industry

In Rome, on 20 July 2004, the Vice-minister of Productive Activities, Adolfo Urso, President of the Conferenza dei Presidenti delle Regioni e delle Province Autonome (Conference of Presidents from the Regions and Autonomous Provinces), Enzo Ghigo, President of AEFI, Dr. Piergiacomo Ferrari, President of CFI, Gaetano Marzotto, and President of CFT, Adalberto Corsi, signed the Sector Agreement for the Internationalisation of the Italian Trade Fair Industry.

The purpose of this agreement is to undertake actions aimed at:

  • trade promotion, to improve visibility to Italian trade fair services, including goods and services offered by different sectors, in the markets of greatest interest;
  • collaboration with Italian and foreign trade fair centres regarding the export of Italian trade fair services.

Many activities have been carried out throughout the years.

In addition to the actions by the associates that have participated in the initiative, AEFI has undertaken “Italian Fairs: culture, environmental quality and innovation for the global market”, which was developed in two stages. Supporting the international expansion of Italy’s trade fair industry, these actions aimed at exhibiting the Italian industry around the world.

Contacts have already been initiated by the Ministero dell Sviluppo Econmico (Ministry of Economic Development) to renew this agreement.
