Cremona Fiere is strategically positioned: located 1 km away from town centre and easily reachable from the airport in northern Italy, the Fair Centre lies at the heart of the Po Valley, along the main motorway networks and at the centre of the major trade routes in the European Union. Cremona Fiere has a roofed exhibition surface of 55,000 m2, fitted with the latest technologies, plus an extensive open exhibition area. It has four pavilions, two recently completed, all cabled and boasting the most innovative architectural trade-fair concepts, qualified to meet every exhibition requirement.
The complex has a well-organized congress centre, with five halls accommodating from 20 to 300 people, equipped with the latest multimedia systems. Multifunctional spaces that lend themselves to hosting all sorts of events: congresses, business meetings, round tables and workshops. Cafés and restaurants complete the offering of services for exhibitors and visitors. Concurrent to the main exhibitions and congresses, Cremona Fiere also organizes special cultural itineraries to enhance the city’s historical and artistic assets and the specialities of the Cremona cuisine. The quality offering, plus the richness of the area, are the keys to its growing success.
Delicately set in a fertile area crossed by many a watercourse, Cremona has always exploited its ideal location, together with its local products. Capital of the torrone and home to Stradivari violins, the city affords a monumental centre rich in invaluable artistic heritage.
Piazza del Comune One of the best-kept examples of medieval public space, closed on three sides by the three main historical monuments of Cremona: the Torrazzo, its symbol par excellence, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Loggia dei Militi and the Town Hall.
Cathedral A composite structure, its original medieval design was gradually touched up by Gothic, Renaissance, manneristic and Baroque features, all in all well blended. The façade presents a fascinating gabled structure with a portal formed by an elaborate row of twisted columns.
Palazzo Fodri An example of noble Lombard Renaissance architecture, owned by one of the most powerful families of Cremona. Beautiful inner trapezoidal courtyard, with porticoes on three sides and terracotta decorations.
Roughly 23 km from Cremona, opposite the road from Isola Dovarese on the Padana Inferiore, winds the “castle path”, a name earned from the presence of 19th century castle-villas found along the way (San Lorenzo de’ Picenardi, Torre de’ Picenardi).
